Follow the brown museum signs and those for Congleton Town Centre from all main roads A534, A34 and A54

Congleton train station is in Hightown, about a twenty minutes’ walk to the museum. You can catch the number 94 bus outside the train station which stops at Congleton bus station. 

  • Northern Rail

Congleton bus station is opposite Morrisons supermarket and it’s a two-minutes’ walk to the museum along the walkway and past Congleton Library. 

  • 38 Crewe to Macclesfield (Hourly service)
  • 94 Congleton to Newcastle under Lyme (Hourly service)
  • 42 Crewe – Middlewich – Congleton (Hourly service)

Congleton Town Centre is a twenty-minute walk down Canal Street

Congleton Museum is located in Congleton town centre, behind the town hall. There are museum street post signs from the Elizabeth statue on Bridge Street to the museum.

Parking

There are limited parking spaces directly outside the museum, including one disabled parking space. Parking is available on a first come first served basis,

Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve parking on behalf of visitors or groups. There are large low-cost car parks in Congleton Town Centre. The nearest is the Fairground on Market Street, opposite Morrisons supermarket, about two minutes’ walk to the museum.
