Congleton Town Halls

Description

Congleton’s town hall, with its prominent clock tower, dominates the High Street. The site it occupies has been the focus of local government since the 15th century. This booklet refers to the 15th century Moot Hall, the replacement Guild Hall of 1804 and the erection of the present building in 1864.
