Description
The rising ground to the south of Congleton is the source of a number of streams which now flow unnoticed and culverted through the town. This is a study of the area bounded by two of these, the Howty, which flows under Bridge Street, and the Dare, which flows down Canal Street and through the Community Garden. Subjects include, St Peter’s Church, the Grammar School, Congleton Points, principle buildings and Priesty Fields.
