Draw Your House

There are thousands of houses in Congleton, but the one you live in stands out among them.

Participate in the ‘Draw Your Own House’ activity, an exciting part of the Town Expeditions event during the summer holidays! Families are invited to create drawings of their homes, which will be transformed into a community colouring book. Let your creativity shine as you sketch your house, but please remember not to include any personal information like your full address. Join in the fun and help us celebrate the diverse homes of our town through art!

How it works?

Draw your house in the style of a colouring book. You can draw the house you live in full-size or part of it. You can even draw the inside of your house if you wish!
Choose your own drawing style. It can be more detailed or more schematic, more realistic or more illustrative. Below is the gallery, we have presented there different options that may inspire you.
When colouring, pay attention to details of the house such as the shape of the roof, windows, and doors, and study the decorative elements and chimney shape.
Write a short story about the house you live in.
Bring your drawing to Congleton Museum where it will be photocopied, and receive a passport sticker. Don’t worry – you get to take your drawing home with you.
We will collect and publish the best drawings in one colouring book which will be available later this year. Please provide your email address if you would like your drawing to be included.
