We welcome all types of groups to the museum, whether you’re adult group looking for a day trip, a community group, or a SEND group looking for a bespoke visit.
We can generally accommodate groups of up to 30 people at a time in the museum and for museum talks.
Ian Doughty, the museums Chair of Trustees delivers walks around the town and talks inside the museum. These are bookable by members of the public, community groups, businesses and other charities. Please use our contact form to book a group visit or to enquire about walks, talks, and room hire.
SEND groups may prefer to split up into smaller groups of up to 10 if booking a talk or practical session alongside a visit. We offer a range of practical learning sessions which can be tailored to your group to accommodate a specific age range or disability.
Parking
There are limited parking spaces outside the museum, including one disabled space. Unfortunately, we are not able to reserve parking in advance. It is possible to drop-off groups directly outside the museum if travelling by car or mini-bus. Coaches are not able to park outside the museum due to limited space. Please refer to the local car parks for coach and additional parking.
